Welcome to the "Principal's Perspective"

 cowboys

Welcome back to another school year at Ewing Public Schools.  I am extremely excited to begin my 24th year at Ewing Public Schools.  I have been the principal for the past sixteen years and prior to that I taught Physical Education for five years and business for three years here at Ewing.  I have also been the Athletic Director for the last twenty years.  Before coming to Ewing I taught business/computers for two years at Trenton Public Schools in southwest Nebraska. I graduated from Kearney State College in 1990 and got my Master’s Degree from Wayne State College in 2002.

Ewing is an outstanding school and community in which to raise your family and send your children to school.  We are small enough to provide great opportunities for all children and are able to provide individual attention to all students.  We provide an outstanding education in a student-centered, teacher-directed environment that is supported by home and community.  I encourage all parents and community members to become involved with the school and make our school even better than it already is.

In my free time I enjoy golfing, reading, spending time with my family, and going to different sporting events around the country.  My favorite teams are the Ewing Tigers, the O’Neill/Ewing Eagles football team, and the Nebraska Cornhuskers.  I am now a Philadelphia Eagles fan since my nephew Miles Austin is a wide receiver for them and I am a diehard lifelong fan of the 11-time World Series Baseball Champion St. Louis Cardinals  -- “Go Crazy Folks, Go Crazy”.

My wonderful wife Kaye (wonderful because she puts up with me) is the business teacher at O’Neill High School and I am blessed with three great kids.  Kelsey has graduated from UNL, Lindsey is a senior at UNK, and my son Justin is a junior at O’Neill High School.

GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!
